Female Parkour/Freerunning
As you might know, Parkour and Freerunning are very male dominated sports. This is due to many reasons, but one is the stigma of girls being weak and therefore not able to do the things the boys can. This is simply not true, as a little research will show. To combat this, QR Academy have created a dedicated Female Parkour Class, where only females may attend. THIS IS A FREE CLASS, that is included if you sign up for any of our other classes.
Here you meet other female athletes, overcome fears and develop as an athlete whilst you grow together as a group. Here we focus on the physical and mental challenges that we face during our Parkour journey. We often have small competitions to challenge ourselves but we also learn how to overcome lower walls, vault over boxes, do cartwheels, land safely, run up walls and climb them.
We are essentially doing what the other groups are doing, but we are only females. This builds the confidence some females may need to feel comfortable enough to train with boys and/or other people. Check the list of movements below to see what we will teach in this class. So if you want to control your body in the way your meant to, become strong and defeat all your fears book your Female Parkour class today and become ready for highly skilled acrobatic movement!
